DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH CAPACITY YOU NEED? Use this handy chart to figure your ring metal size based on how many sheets of paper you expect to have. Remember that capacity is based on the inside diameter of the ring metal and not the size of the outside spine panel - when you order a 1" round ring that means it will hold 1" of literature, but the binder spine will measure 1 3/8". (sizes in illustration are examples only, round rings come larger than 2 1/2" if needed)

Round Ring Mechanisms

Round Rings come in a variety of sizes and multi-ring configurations. You can get a standard 3 ring, or a 6 ring memo style - there are many to choose from with and without the handy booster mechanism to help open and close the ring. A round ring mechanism usually takes two curved sheetlifters.

D Ring Mechanisms

The "D" ring metal is named for it's shape, it comes in a Straight D and an Angle D, which style is based soley on preferrence. D rings are mounted on the inside back cover of a binder and come with and without boosters. A D ring mechanism usually takes one flat sheetlifter but can be used without a lifter as well, a second can be added and is again based on preferrence.

These are the three standard vinyl finishes; Suedene, Shoe Kid and French Calf. Not all colors are available in all finishes. There are a multitude of materials available, these are just the most common.
